Local residency is not specified if required to apply for license.

Licenses from other jurisdictions accepted for experience.

Licenses are required throughout the state.

The State of Ohio has 5 licensing levels:

  1. Ohio 1st Class Engineer
  2. Ohio 2nd Class Engineer
  3. Ohio 3rd Class Engineer
  4. Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operato
  5. Ohio Low Pressure Boiler Operator
