City of Evanston, ILStrangly the Evanston Municipal Code no longer addresses licensing and was refered to the Fire Chief (Title 4-3), and does not in any way address licensing for STATIONARY ENGINEERS, BOILER OR WATER TENDERS in it code or statute. However, the City Manager has instructed the Evanston Building & Zoning Department at 555 Lincoln Street, Evanston, IL 60201to give a STATIONARY ENGINEERS, BOILER OR WATER TENDERS examination to applicants for a license as stationary operating engineers or boiler and water tenders and references the Evanston, Illinois - Code of Ordinances: Title 4-3. I get the impression they will accept recprocal licensure and you will need to contact Dave Stoneback, Director of Utilities or Dennis Marino, Assistant Director, Planning and Zoning at Building and Zoning Division - 847-866-2932
